First Annual Forum on Education in Aerosol Science 2019
We were delighted to welcome academics involved in supervising research in aerosol science and teaching aerosol science at the graduate level through our programme of doctoral training at the School of Chemistry at the University of Bristol on 13th June 2019.
At the time of this Forum the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Aerosol Science was in the process of recruiting its first cohort of postgraduate researchers (PGRs) to start their training in Bristol in September 2019. They will be undertaking a year of intensive teaching and placement work before moving to their home institutions to tackle a range of doctoral research projects spanning numerous areas and disciplines such as aerosol technology, aerosols and health, and environmental aerosol.
The Forum focussed on launching the educational approach of the newly-formed CDT, and providing an introduction to Team-Based Learning in the context of aerosol science. This will be one of the central research-informed pedagogies adopted by the CDT.
