New CDT 2024 Launch Event
This year is an exciting year as we launch the new aerosol science CDT 2024 on Thursday 2nd May having secured funding from EPSRC for another five cohorts of student recruitment.
For academics, the launch event will provide a focus for exploring how we can advance education in aerosol science and embed Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) in the supervision of doctoral students in this interdisciplinary field. As a partner, you will discover the mechanisms for engaging with the CDT, help define your organisational training needs and brainstorm grand challenges in aerosol science.
Both academics and partners will participate in our annual sandpit, which will provide an opportunity to discuss synergies in research, identify future opportunities for collaboration and define co-funded studentships to deliver partner research or innovation needs.
We look forward to welcome you!
Bristol leaps ahead in training next generation of leaders to tackle major global challenges
We are delighted to announce that our application to EPSRC for renewed funding for our CDT in Aerosol Science has been successful! We will be recruiting another 5 cohorts of students, extending our funding through to 2032. The CDT will be a partnership between the University of Bath, University of Birmingham, University of Bristol, University of Cambridge, University of Hertfordshire, Manchester University and University of Surrey and Imperial College London. This is extraordinary news for the aerosol science field, our students, academics and partners, and is a reflection of how important our training and research is.
At a time when Aerosol Science has never been so crucial, we work to equip the next generation of aerosol scientists with the skills needed to tackle the numerous multidisciplinary challenges that fall at boundaries between the physical, engineering and health sciences.
